Graeme Lowdon still hopes to see Marussia race in Abu Dhabi
The former President and Sporting Director of the Marussia F1 team believes that his team still has a chance to be present on the grid in Abu Dhabi for the last race of the 2014 season despite the recent cessation of activities pronounced by the administrator managing the team.

Graeme Lowdon, who was the President and Sporting Director of the Marussia F1 team before its entry into administration, believes that the British-Russian team can still be present in Abu Dhabi in two weeks as well as in 2015 despite the announcement on Friday of the company’s cessation of activities.
He confided that the team still interested investors and for Sky Sports F1, he was optimistic about the team’s chances of being present in Abu Dhabi for the last race of the season. “I don’t feel like there’s no turning back possible. We are competitive people, and we will fight until there is no chance left. For now, there is still a chance that we will race in 2015 and beyond, and even in Abu Dhabi.”
« It was a very busy weekend; we worked closely with Geoff Rowley, the administrator. I think we owe a lot to all the people who helped us be here today, the fans, our drivers – Jules included; we owe it to everyone who tried to ensure that the team continues. »
Graeme Lowdon confirmed that the team was attracting interest from investors and that the Banbury team was not far from regaining its place on the F1 grid: « There is a lot of interest from potential investors and if we can ensure we have a solid foundation to move forward, then we will. There are really very, very few things we need to resolve to be back in the paddock and racing. »
He also shared news about Jules Bianchi’s health, who is still hospitalized following his accident during the Japanese Grand Prix: « Jules is very much in our thoughts at the moment. There is no change in his condition; he remains in a stable but critical state, and everyone’s thoughts in the team and his very large fan base are with Jules right now. »
