After Marcus Ericsson’s departure, the suspense remained over the names of Caterham F1 drivers for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

A first response has been given: Kamui Kobayashi, who has competed in almost all the team’s races this season – except in Belgium, where he was replaced by André Lotterer – has been confirmed and will therefore be at Yas Marina.

« I am happy to be racing with the team in Abu Dhabi, » stated the Japanese driver. « It hasn’t been easy these past few weeks, so it will be good to be back in the car and working with the members of Caterham F1. This team works hard and never gives up. We deserve to race in Abu Dhabi and I am very happy that we can race again thanks to the crowdfunding project. Now, it’s our turn to show what we can do: we will try to do our best during the coming weekend and hope that we can finish the season with a positive result for the future of the team. »
