Marussia: Graeme Lowdon still believes for 2015

The future of the Marussia F1 team seems more than uncertain - especially with its absence in Abu Dhabi for the final round of the 2014 F1 season. However, Graeme Lowdon, the team's boss, still believes and even thinks that the team could be present in 2015.

The Marussia team missed the last two F1 Grand Prix – in the United States and Brazil – and the Russian team hoped to return this weekend in Abu Dhabi for the last race of the year, but they did not succeed.

Marussia F1 was placed into administration a few days ago, but the team principal, Graeme Lowdon, remains optimistic for the future, especially the 2015 season. He is convinced, as he told FOXSports.com, that if new investors come forward, the team will be able to compete next season in F1: « We were very close, very close to being here [in Abu Dhabi] – really close. Those who know us understand that we only want to do things properly, and that wasn’t the case ultimately. As a racing team, you always want to race, and that’s what we wanted to do in Abu Dhabi. »

« There are different scenarios for the team, but in order to run, it is very important to have a car ready for 2015, and that’s what interests potential investors. They want to ensure that work on the 2015 program can be resumed quickly. Don’t count us out too quickly, » added Lowdon.
