Valtteri Bottas will aim for the podium and even better if the circumstances are favorable. Felipe Massa will try to repeat his Brazilian podium to help his team maintain its third place in the constructors' championship.

Third on the starting grid, Bottas is not worried about interfering in the title battle. He even relishes the chance to have a front-row seat.

« I think it’s pretty cool to be part of something like that. It’s nice. Obviously for me all I can get is fourth place in the championship and the main thing for us as a team is really to secure third place and that will be our goal tomorrow, and to achieve that goal we will need to finish as high as possible, » he stated on the Williams F1 website.

For Sunday, he will aim for the fourth place in the driver championship and is under no illusions about the competitiveness of the Mercedes, although he won’t hesitate to seize his chance if it presents itself. « I think that in the race, as we have already seen, Mercedes has a slightly bigger advantage on Sunday than on Saturday, so it could be difficult, but for us the main goal is to finish as high as possible and if something happens and we have the pace, we will undoubtedly try to move up the hierarchy, » he insists.

Beaten by the Finn, Massa will aim for the podium as he believes he has enough pace. He will rely on a good strategy to end the year on a high note. “I potentially had the pace to be ahead of Valtteri but I couldn’t do a perfect last lap after my lock-up. Tire degradation will be crucial tomorrow, so strategy will be important. A podium is possible, so I will fight for it as it would be a great way to conclude the season,” he concludes.
