Official: Jean-Eric Vergne leaves Toro Rosso
Jean-Eric Vergne will not drive for Toro Rosso in 2015, as the driver himself confirmed on his Twitter account.

Initially set to be replaced by Max Verstappen following his appointment in September, Jean-Eric Vergne had hoped to remain at Toro Rosso after Daniil Kvyat’s promotion to Red Bull in response to Sebastian Vettel’s departure.
In recent weeks, however, the situation seemed to be deteriorating for No. 25, who had appeared confident during the United States Grand Prix. Already in Abu Dhabi, it seemed clear that the balance was no longer in his favor. An announcement was expected next week.
However, the Frenchman has not adopted this schedule and has just announced that he will not be the driver for the small Scuderia in 2015, certainly paving the way for the appointment of Carlos Sainz Jr or, less likely, Alex Lynn.
Malgré une bonne saison & 22 pts, je ne serai plus chez Toro Rosso en 2015. Merci pour ces années. Place maintenant à un nouveau beau projet
