Susie Wolff named official test driver for Williams for 2015
The Scottish Susie Wolff, who previously held the position of development driver for the Williams team in F1, has been appointed as the official test driver, replacing Felipe Nasr.

Williams named Susie Wolff, already a development driver for the team in 2014, official test driver for the 2015 season, succeeding Felipe Nasr who joined Sauber F1.
This promotion will allow her to participate in two free practice sessions as well as two test sessions in 2015. She will also perform simulator work for the potential “FW37”. In 2014, she already drove during the FP1 sessions at the British and German Grand Prix.
She who joined the Williams team in 2012 is delighted with this promotion: « It’s another step in the right direction for me. I’m happy that Williams recognizes my progress, my work, and that it’s performance that counts. »
Claire Williams, the deputy director of the Grove team, stated that the Scot « continues to impress us with her solid technical knowledge, the feedback she provides, and her performance when driving the car on the track and in the simulator. She has regularly increased her time spent behind the wheel since joining us in April 2012, and her appointment as an official test driver was a natural progression.
