A few days after starting his collaboration with Ferrari with a test drive of the F2012 at Fiorano, Sebastian Vettel made one last visit to Milton Keynes, where he was able to say goodbye to Red Bull.

Six years after his debut with the Austrian team, Sebastian Vettel’s record is impressive: four titles, 38 victories, 44 pole positions, and 65 podiums in 118 Grand Prix at the wheel of the RB5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10.

It is therefore with emotion that the German and his team said goodbye this Tuesday. Christian Horner and Adrian Newey offered him a series of original gifts including an espresso cup, red swimming suits, and a sculpture representing a bull at 1:2 scale.

He was also offered one of his cars with which he became World Champion, but he won’t have it right away, as Horner explained with a smile: “We don’t want it to go to Maranello.”

Sebastian Vettel acknowledged that the moment was emotional: “These last six years have been incredible. What we achieved, the work we did: so much passion, so much dedication. It will always be in my heart. A big, big thank you to everyone. In the end, we had the best car because we were the best team. ‘Thank you’ doesn’t really sufficiently describe how I feel,” he stated in front of the factory staff.

His day ended with signing autographs and meeting with team members.
