Three potential buyers interested in the Caterham F1 team

While the future of the Caterham team remains more than uncertain, the team's administrator Henry Shinners told the British press that several parties were interested in taking over the team, although nothing has been signed at the moment.

The administrator of the Caterham F1 team, placed under judicial reorganization in October, is optimistic about the team’s chances of being on the Formula 1 grid next season despite ongoing significant uncertainty about its continued operation.

Henry Shinners told BBC Sport that management is giving themselves time to find a buyer: “We want to give the team every chance of survival, so we are not setting a deadline.” He also added that so far three potential buyers were interested in the team.

The team based in Leafield missed two races in /f1/actualite/19180-caterham-f1-pourrait-courir-en-2015-avec-les-voitures-de-2014.html, in Austin and Interlagos, before returning for the last round of the season in Abu Dhabi, with Kamui Kobayashi and Will Stevens as the main drivers, thus offering the young Briton his F1 debut.

But things are starting to get complicated for 2015 because the first tests will take place on February 1st and the first race, in Melbourne, Australia, on March 15th. Since designing a race car takes time, things are not in Caterham F1’s favor, even though its salvation could come from the recent decision by the F1 Commission to allow it to race in 2015 with its 2014 chassis.
