Some of the stolen Red Bull trophies have been found
The Red Bull team was the victim of a burglary about ten days ago where a large number of its trophies were stolen. But the police announced that they have recovered some of them more than 100 kilometers from the Milton Keynes factory.

At the end of the Formula 1 season, following Sebastian Vettel’s departure, the Red Bull Racing team proudly showcased its trophy display, part of which was achieved by the German driver during his four victorious campaigns from 2010 to 2013. But in early December, the Milton Keynes team announced that burglars had stolen 60 of these trophies.
A little over ten days after the burglary, some of the trophies were recovered by the police, about 20 out of the 60 that were stolen. They were found in a lake about 120 kilometers from the headquarters of the Austrian team.
« We estimate that around 20 trophies have been recovered, but we are in contact with Red Bull to establish the exact number, as some trophies are damaged, » explained one of the police inspectors in charge of the investigation, as quoted by Sky Sports F1.
The director of the Red Bull Racing team, Christian Horner, expressed his delight at the news, especially since these trophies hold importance for the team but have low market value: « It’s good news that some of our trophies have been recovered and a big thank you to the police for their help so far. The fact that some trophies were dumped in a lake and damaged shows how senseless the crime was. While these trophies hold enormous value for the team, their intrinsic value is low – and the damage caused to the factory by the offenders during their burglary was significant. Hopefully, we can bring these trophies back to the factory where they belong and make replicas of those we cannot [bring back]. »
