Ecclestone confirmed as head of F1 by CVC
Bernie Ecclestone has been confirmed as the head of the Formula One Group by CVC, which has also appointed Luca di Montezemolo and Paul Walsh to the board as non-executive directors.

CVC, the shareholder that controls the Formula One Group (FOG), has announced three appointments to the FOG board of directors. Bernie Ecclestone—84 years old for a few weeks—has been reappointed to the board and will continue as the head of the Formula One Group, the company that manages the commercial rights of the Formula 1 World Championship.
In addition to Ecclestone, CVC has also appointed two non-executive directors who will serve from January 1, 2015. One of them is Luca di Montezemolo, former Ferrari boss, who had already held this position between 2012 and 2014 as a representative of Ferrari.
The other person named is Paul Walsh, former head of the company Diageo and currently the head of Compass Group, and a non-executive director of FedEx and Unilever.
Peter Brabeck-Letmathe has been confirmed as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Formula One Group.
