Private Testing: Two Sessions Planned in Barcelona and at the Red Bull Ring in 2015
The FIA has approved the holding of two testing sessions, each lasting two days, during the 2015 Formula 1 season. They will take place following the Spanish and Austrian Grand Prix.

As the 2015 pre-season tests are set to begin in Jerez at the end of the month, the teams have agreed to hold private tests during the season, as they did last year.
But private tests being expensive, they have been reduced compared to 2014. Teams went from four pre-season test sessions to three, and mid-season tests will go from four sessions in 2014 – held in Bahrain, Spain, Great Britain, and Abu Dhabi – to only two this year.
The teams will meet again after the Spanish and Austrian Grand Prix for two days of testing each time. They will have to field drivers who have taken part in fewer than two Grand Prix during two of these four test days conducted during the season.
The tests will take place on the Tuesday and Wednesday following the Spanish Grand Prix (held on May 10) and the Austrian Grand Prix (held on June 21).
