Kimi Räikkönen finished on top of the final day of testing held in Jerez de la Frontera in Spain, thanks to a lap of 1:20.841 on softs. The Finn was ahead of the Sauber driven by Ericsson, the Mercedes driven by Hamilton, the Toro Rosso driven by Verstappen, and the Williams driven by Massa, which completes the top 5.

Räikkönen, in addition to the best time of the day, managed to surpass the 100-lap mark covered in the day – 105 laps in total. But other drivers did better than him, Marcus Ericsson (Sauber) with 111 laps covered and unsurprisingly… Lewis Hamilton with 117 laps covered in the Mercedes. Max Verstappen was not far from reaching this symbolic mark as well with 97 laps covered.

Romain Grosjean managed to complete 53 laps before a power unit issue interrupted his day. At Red Bull, the day was also marked by ERS problems, and at McLaren-Honda as well, with an oil level problem preventing Jenson Button from fully benefiting from the day. However, the Briton managed to cover 35 laps—a “record” for the Woking team during these four days of testing, also setting the best time for McLaren over these four days with a 1:27.660.
