Pérez finally discovers the 2015 Force India version
Sergio Pérez had to wait until the very last day of winter testing to discover his new car, the VJM08. Despite a few weeks of delay, the latest creation from the Force India team proved to be reliable, covering over 600 kilometers once again.

After a few laps to get acclimatized to the VJM08, the Mexican was able to work on the setup of his car to understand its behavior. The Indian team completed performance-focused stints before working on long distances.
« It was a good first day in the car, » explains Pérez. « There was a good atmosphere in the team. We don’t hide it, we have a lot of catching up to do, but I am optimistic. The team knows which direction it needs to work in, and we were able to collect a significant amount of data in a very short time, which will help us set a baseline for work. »
Each relay we do, here or during race weekends, brings us a little closer to where we want to be. Now, I focus on Melbourne. I am very excited about racing there again. The first race of the season is always special and the one we’ve been looking forward to since the end of the previous season.
