Paddy Lowe: « Mercedes takes nothing for granted »
Paddy Lowe, a member of the Mercedes staff, stated in an interview with Crash.net that Brackley should not rest on its laurels.

The technical director of Mercedes, Paddy Lowe, insisted that Mercedes is not taking anything for granted at the dawn of this 2015 season. On the Silver Arrows’ side, nothing is taken for granted because the team might not be fully ready in certain areas.
As in 2014, the 2015 season will see Mercedes as favorites with pre-season testing that seemed to demonstrate both superior performance and reliability compared to the competition. Lowe is satisfied with the improvements made to this season’s car, but he believes that achieving a high level of performance and reliability in races will be a more delicate challenge.
« So far, the car seems to be superior in terms of speed and reliability compared to last year, so we hope to achieve a good result in Melbourne. We are expected, but the race is a very different thing. It’s a ruthless business. There is a huge amount of work to do and many things to work on in order to start the season in the best possible way. We take nothing for granted. »
Paddy Lowe continues on the fact that the team has been exploring the possibilities offered by the FIA regulations to ensure they maximize them: « All preparations regarding the car’s specification, solutions to the problems we encountered during the winter, revisiting the regulations to become familiar again with the procedures we have to follow: all this must be in order to ensure a successful start to all races this year ».
The British engineer also claims that Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg will be motivated once again for a new battle: « The drivers are in good shape, both are very enthusiastic and eager to start the fight ».
