As anticipated this Monday, it is indeed Roberto Mehri who will occupy the second seat for the Manor Marussia F1 team, alongside Will Stevens who was named several weeks ago. The team confirmed this on their Twitter account. The Spaniard participated in three free practice sessions with Caterham in 2014.

« I am incredibly excited to make my Formula 1 debut with Manor Marussia F1 in Melbourne this weekend. It’s a big responsibility, but I feel ready to take this step in my career and show that I can make a significant contribution to the development of a team, » stated the Spaniard.

Third in the FR3.5 championship of the World Series by Renault in 2014, behind champion Carlos Sainz Jr and Pierre Gasly, Merhi had considered trying his luck again in this championship with the Pons team.

At the same time, Jordan King, who will race in GP2 this season, has been named development driver. He is the son of the interim team president, Justin King.
