Kobayashi in negotiations with Manor?
After participating in his fifth Formula 1 season last year with Caterham, Kamui Kobayashi found refuge with Toyota in Super Formula for 2015. However, the Japanese driver is attempting to make a comeback with Manor.

If the Manor Marussia team’s single-seaters did not hit the track in Melbourne, the British team assures that it will indeed be operational in Malaysia for the second Grand Prix of the season.
In Melbourne, Will Stevens and Roberto Merhi had been designated as main drivers, but the Spaniard seems to be on the hot seat if a wealthier driver comes forward with a serious offer to Manor. This news did not go unnoticed by Chikara Funada, the manager of Kamui Kobayashi, who was seen in the Australian paddock in extensive discussions with Manor’s leaders, according to the Italian magazine Autosprint.
Last year, Kamui Kobayashi drove for the Caterham team, even though his participation in the Grand Prix was often in doubt, as wealthier or more high-profile drivers were sometimes called upon to replace him on a few occasions. He ultimately had to give up his seat only once during the season, in Belgium, to Andre Lotterer.
