Malaysia: Bottas and Alonso fit for the Grand Prix
Good news for Williams, Valtteri Bottas is making his return this weekend in Sepang after getting injured in Australia. Fernando Alonso will also be part of the event this weekend for McLaren Honda.

Fernando Alonso will be back in his seat at Sepang after undergoing a series of physical tests approved by the FIA. The Spaniard will thus compete in his first Grand Prix of the year with McLaren-Honda in Malaysia. As a reminder, he was replaced by Kevin Magnussen in Melbourne for the inaugural race of the 2015 season following an accident during testing in Barcelona.
A spokesperson for the FIA expressed their views on the subject as quoted by Sky Sports F1: « In accordance with normal procedures, McLaren Honda driver Fernando Alonso was examined this morning by the FIA medical delegate and the Sepang circuit doctor. During the series of examinations, the driver passed all mandatory fitness tests and was therefore deemed fit to race this weekend. »
The double world champion also shared the information on his Twitter feed to reassure his supporters and demonstrate his motivation to race for this season’s second round.
