Toro Rosso: Franz Tost proud of his young drivers
After Sebastian Vettel's victory yesterday in Malaysia, another team impressed: Toro Rosso. Franz Tost reflects on the race and says he is proud of his two young drivers.

The team director of Toro Rosso is proud of his two young drivers who finished in the points at the Malaysian Grand Prix. The Toro Rossos had the luxury of outrunning the two Red Bulls of Daniel Ricciardo and Danill Kvyat.
Furthermore, Max Verstappen became the youngest driver to score points in F1 history.
The young Dutch driver scored 6 points at only 17 years and 180 days old. He thereby broke the record held by Daniil Kvyat, current Red Bull driver, as the Russian driver was two years older than the Dutchman when he set his record.
Franz Tost expressed his delight to Sky Sports F1 about the performance of his two young drivers: « Finishing 7th and 8th today in Malaysia is an excellent performance for us, Ferrari, Mercedes, and Williams have no problem, so it’s the best position we can achieve. The team delivered a very good performance in the race, of which I am very proud. We were fast during yesterday’s qualifying session, but it wasn’t a surprise. Max finished in an excellent sixth place, and I think Carlos could have been in the top 10 [in qualifying], but he showed all his talent in the race today ».
In the drivers’ standings, Max Verstappen is in 9th place with six points, tied with Carlos Sainz and Nico Hülkenberg. In the constructors’ championship, Toro Rosso is in 5th position, one point ahead of Red Bull.
