More overtakes this season in DTM
Good news for DTM fans as this year, drivers will be able to use DRS three times during the race to facilitate overtaking.

In DTM, during the 2014 season, drivers could use DRS when they were within two seconds of the car ahead, but they could only activate this system once per lap.
From now on, the use of the DRS has increased to three opportunities per lap. In addition to this innovation, teams will have a new qualification format, as well as two races per meeting.
The first race on Saturday will last forty minutes plus a full lap and will not include mandatory pit stops. On Sunday, a new race will take place over a format of sixty minutes plus a full lap, during which tire changes will be mandatory. Before each race, there will be two qualifying sessions, each lasting twenty minutes.
« The DTM must offer spectators exciting races and a lot of entertainment, that is our priority. To do this, we hope there will be many more spectacular overtakes and attractive races until the last lap, which is exactly what the DTM has been providing for many years. That is why the DTM is the most attractive series in the world, » stated its director Hand Werner Aufrecht.
