The idea of a return to resupplies abandoned
Formula 1 is unlikely to see refueling make a comeback in the coming years, following a meeting of team principals where they rejected the measure.

According to several sources, teams have rejected the proposal for the return of refueling from 2017, during a meeting held in Montreal alongside the Canadian Grand Prix. The proposal had been made by the strategic group last month and, according to Motorsport, it did not have any support among team directors.
The return of fuel refueling was proposed for 2017 to make F1 cars faster by 5 to 6 seconds per lap, but as soon as this hypothesis was announced, it was criticized by some, who questioned the safety and cost of such a step backward.
According to *Sky Sports F1*, the cost of reintroducing a refueling system to the cars is estimated at around 1.4 million euros, which led the teams to reject this proposal.
From now on, this unpopular measure should logically be rejected, even if the F1 bosses – Bernie Ecclestone and CVC – would be in favor of the measure, at least according to Sky Sports F1.
