As has been the case for many years now, the beginning of September marks the time for the Italian Grand Prix, held in Monza, 20 kilometers north of Milan.

Formula 1 immerses itself on this occasion in a witness to its history: Monza has hosted the Italian round continuously since 1981! Only one edition has not taken place in Lombardy since the creation of the World Championship in 1950! Look no further: **Monza is the track that has hosted the most Formula 1 Grand Prix.**

The drivers also experience a unique atmosphere: on the lands of Scuderia Ferrari, the Tifosi are great motorsport enthusiasts. They do not hesitate to show it and encourage the team marked by the Prancing Horse with immeasurable fervor.

Stat-wise, the absolute record holder for victories at Monza is Michael Schumacher, with 5 wins, all for Ferrari, achieved between 1996 and 2006. Ferrari also dominates the Constructors’ Ranking with 18 victories. The Italian team can also boast having Sebastian Vettel, already a three-time winner here (2008 with Toro-Rosso for his first Formula 1 victory, 2011 and 2013 with Red Bull).

But in reality, Vettel, Räikkönen, and Ferrari will not be the favorites: they will have to dethrone Mercedes, as has been customary since the beginning of the 2014 season and the advent of the turbo era. Moreover, Lewis Hamilton has regained full confidence after a perfectly managed Belgian Grand Prix. Nico Rosberg will also be in the running: the German must take his revenge for 2014: while he was leading the race, the pressure from Hamilton caused him to make a mistake, costing him the victory on that occasion. He also needs to win at Monza to prevent his teammate from inexorably moving towards the World Champion Title.

Ferrari will therefore attempt the impossible: if not, it will at least have to regain the status of second force, abandoned at Spa to the surprising Romain Grosjean in his Lotus, who managed to lead an impeccable race, though well aided by Vettel’s puncture in the penultimate lap of the race.

In France, since Canal+ is the official broadcaster of Formula 1, you will need to subscribe to the encrypted channel to be able to follow the race and other Formula 1 broadcasts and reruns. This is not the case in Switzerland, nor in Belgium, where the RTS and RTBF groups handle the broadcasts.

Don’t have a subscription to Canal+? That’s not a problem. Indeed, as last year, the MotorsInside.com team is mobilizing to offer you live commentary, during the Grand Prix qualifying, as well as during the race.
