The fourteenth round of the world championship saw Mercedes make a strong return in qualifying. Nico Rosberg claimed pole position by 0.074 seconds against Lewis Hamilton. Behind the Silver Arrows, Williams and Ferrari are expected to give us a great battle for the podium. Romain Grosjean, starting 8th, will try to maintain his position, while Max Verstappen, 18th on the grid, and Daniil Kvyat, starting from the pits, will likely provide the comebacks of the day.

Two major unknowns are present at this Grand Prix: the start, of course, the Achilles’ heel of the Mercedes since Silverstone; and the weather, always uncertain at Suzuka, which could offer us some surprises. The day will also be filled with emotions, one year after the terrible accident of Jules Bianchi at turn 7, in the S curves of the first sector.

Feel free to share your impressions and ask us questions throughout the session, even though we unfortunately won’t be able to publish them all.
