Carlos Sainz permitted to start in Sochi
Sufficiently recovered from his accident the day before, Carlos Sainz has been authorized to start the Russian Grand Prix.

After long minutes spent in worry yesterday during the third free practice session, the paddock is breathing much easier this Sunday: Carlos Sainz has made an excellent recovery from his accident and will get back into an F1 seat at 1 p.m. today.
The FIA doctors have indeed given the green light to the Spaniard, who will therefore be able to start the Russian Grand Prix. The Toro Rosso driver underwent numerous examinations at the hospital, which revealed no fractures. He was even able to leave the hospital as early as last night.
A long race awaits Carlos Sainz, however: his car had to be rebuilt by the Toro Rosso mechanics, and he will have to start from the back of the grid or, more likely, from the pit lane.
