Hamilton is living the best moments of his life
At the end of a Grand Prix that crowned him a triple world champion, Lewis Hamilton understandably had trouble hiding a strong emotion. In contrast, Nico Rosberg appeared affected by his defeat.

It took waiting until the final corner of an absolutely breathtaking Grand Prix to find out if Lewis Hamilton would be crowned as early as this weekend in Austin. However, as Nico Rosberg managed to hold off Sebastian Vettel, the Englishman was finally crowned at the end of the suspense.
On his radio, while greeting the crowd, Lewis Hamilton confidently shared his first words as a three-time world champion: « These are the best moments of my life. Thank you so much, guys, thank you ».
On the podium, interviewed by Elton John himself, the Englishman did not seem to have fully realized yet: « I can’t find the words right now. Thank you so much to the whole team. I love you all. Nothing would have been possible without this team. It was flawless. »
Leader ten laps before the finish, Nico Rosberg, having made a mistake, thus let his teammate win. The German had difficulty hiding his disappointment, or even frustration. One thinks particularly of the unusual scene in the anteroom before the podium: the German threw his cap at Hamilton in anticipation of the podium ceremony… “I’m very disappointed. It’s inconceivable, I don’t know what happened,” he lamented.
