Official: Daniil Kvyat confirmed at Red Bull for 2016
Through the voice of its team principal, Christian Horner, Red Bull announced that it would still like to count on Daniil Kvyat next season... provided the Austrian team manages to find an engine by then.

After a difficult start to the season, and with the emergence of Max Verstappen at Toro Rosso, Daniil Kvyat might have felt threatened for 2016. Fortunately, his recent performances (he is now ahead of his teammate Daniel Ricciardo in the drivers’ championship) convinced the Red Bull management to keep the Russian.
Christian Horner, one day after the Mexico race, where Daniil Kvyat finished in 4th place, wanted to make things clear: « Our two drivers are under contract. Ricciardo’s is clearly established for 2016 and all options for Daniil depend on us. He is doing an excellent job, so as long as we are here [in F1], he will be in the car next year. If we have a car next year, there is a 100% chance he will be with us. »
The future of the young Russian in Formula 1 is therefore more than ever linked to that of his team, which is still desperately searching for an engine supplier for the next season.
