Grosjean: « It’s the American dream »
Romain Grosjean did even better in Bahrain than he did in Australia: a formidable fifth at the end of an aggressive, overtaking-filled race, the Frenchman continues to impress with his new Haas team.

The naysayers had accused Romain Grosjean’s sixth place in Melbourne of being merely a result of the race interruption under the red flag, which had favored the Frenchman. What will they say now? Probably not much, as the Haas driver showcased the potential of his car this Sunday. His Haas impressed with its preservation of the super-soft tires, with which Grosjean completed the majority of the race while making numerous overtakes.
« It’s the American dream » celebrated Romain Grosjean after the race, speaking to Canal +. « It’s crazy, clearly. We have plenty of things to improve, the pit-stops weren’t great. But the car was so nice to drive. I feel so good in the car, so good in the team. I tell myself that we will face tougher moments, but it’s wonderful today. It wasn’t an easy race, in terms of tire management and fuel consumption, but the strategy paid off and it feels good. »
Romain Grosjean is now fifth in the world championship, tied on points with Kimi Räikkönen and ahead of Sebastian Vettel. He didn’t seem to fully realize it upon arrival: « Fifth? I think I’ve never been ranked this high in the championship in my life. It’s pure happiness. »
