Orange on the new McLaren?
McLaren is set to change its livery for the 2017 season, most likely sporting the orange of the team's Formula 1 debut.

The McLaren team, based in Woking near London, is about to experience a new era without its emblematic director Ron Dennis, who has been replaced by Zak Brown as executive director.
Let us recall that Brown is a leading specialist in marketing and sponsorship and is the president of Motorsport Network, a media group specializing in motorsports. The American, wanting to renew McLaren’s image, will undertake a radical livery change for its single-seaters.
Present at the Autosport International show, the businessman expressed his opinion on this subject: « We showed it to the guys and girls at McLaren and we are very excited about our future. We’ve just agreed on the car livery and I think fans will be thrilled to see what the car will look like both technically and visually. »
In addition to these statements, during the announcement of the launch date of the new British single-seater on Twitter, the color orange was very present, which whetted the appetite of fans around the world.

While changes are promised at McLaren, a return to roots seems envisioned with a livery reminiscent of the orange colors of the team in F1 and in Can Am between 1968 and 1971. This livery only reappeared on its F1 cars during private tests in 1997, 1998, and for the last time in 2006.
For several seasons, a change of livery has been considered by the company since Honda’s return in 2015 more precisely, which had even raised hopes of a return to red and white reminiscent of the first successful partnership with the Japanese engine supplier and Marlboro sponsorship. But Ron Dennis was not in favor.
In any case, it will primarily be the performance of the car and the engine that will be scrutinized by knowledgeable Formula 1 observers, but doesn’t one say that a fast car is always beautiful?
