Dell becomes a major sponsor of McLaren
The British team McLaren confirmed this morning that they have reached an agreement to welcome the American company Dell as a major sponsor.

The Woking structure has just concluded a multi-year agreement with Dell Technologies. This will be reflected in the company’s expertise being brought to all branches of the McLaren group in terms of IT tools, servers, and software.
More broadly, it is about the American company getting involved in the daily operations of the team. This ranges from manufacturing parts, to telemetry, data security, and even the simulator used by the drivers and the e-sport structure of the British team.
This major sponsorship agreement also covers future projects between the two companies in the fields of security, cloud storage, and optimization of digital work tools.
The financial contribution provided by Dell has not been disclosed but appears to be substantial, although it is not officially a title sponsor, which McLaren’s executive director Zak Brown refuses to sign in order to protect the name of the iconic team.
In any case, it is proof that McLaren is once again able to attract partners, whereas the trend had recently been for them to lose partners due to the team’s poor sporting results. The engine contract concluded with Renault certainly provides hope for McLaren’s return to the forefront.
