After Haas, Williams, and Red Bull, the 2018 launches continue with the Alfa Romeo Sauber C37 powered by a Ferrari engine, adorned with a red livery dominated by white and a blue stripe. The red pays tribute to Alfa Romeo, while the white and blue honor Sauber.

This C37 will aim to get closer to the middle of the pack to fight more regularly with other teams. This is part of a long-term ambition expressed by Frédéric Vasseur to progress in the hierarchy in the coming years.

The team will trust the young Monegasque driver from the Ferrari Driver Academy and reigning F2 champion, Charles Leclerc, and the now experienced Swedish driver Marcus Ericsson.

The Swiss team previously announced the signing of a partnership with the Italian sports equipment manufacturer Kappa. The company’s logo will be visible on the headrests of the C37 as well as on the drivers’ suits. Another signing announced from Hinwil is a sponsorship contract with the Latin American telecommunications company Claro, which becomes a premium partner of the entity. Claro logos will be visible on the rear wing endplates and on the nose of both Alfa Romeo Sauber cars.

Among the new team partners, we also find the watch brand Richard Mille, which becomes a premium partner of Sauber and will be displayed on the sides of the car as well as on the drivers’ suits. The latest sponsorship deal involves the eyewear brand Carrera, which also becomes a premium partner of the Swiss team. The company will provide the team’s sunglasses, and the logo will be displayed on the sides of the car as well as on the suits of both drivers.
