Charles Leclerc shines in front of his home crowd!
Excellent 14th after a superb time in Q1, Charles Leclerc once again outpaced his teammate Marcus Ericsson and asserted himself during his home qualifying session at the wheel of his Sauber.

For the past few races, Charles Leclerc has found the winning formula to turn his Sauber into a formidable weapon. After a record time in Q1 that easily propels him into Q2, the rookie holds the 14th place on the starting grid for tomorrow.
Satisfied with his final 14th place, the Monegasque driver had a close call when he almost lost control of his car while braking at Sainte Dévote: “I’m really happy with my qualification today. It’s really great to get into Q2 for the third time in a row, and achieving this at home, in front of my crowd, makes this performance even more special. It was really a great day and everything seemed to work perfectly.”
Enough to aim for points in the race tomorrow? Leclerc expects a long and difficult race: « We are on a very complicated circuit and the team has really done a great job to extract the maximum from the car. I’m really looking forward to tomorrow and taking part in my first Monaco Grand Prix. It’s a dream come true. »
3rd straight Q2 ! Best Quali performance of the year in my opinion considering the track characteristics that doesn’t really fit our car ! Let’s push tomorrow 🇮🇩 pic.twitter.com/QRbNASnyZd
