France 3 will broadcast a documentary on the history of the Circuit Paul Ricard
A documentary titled "Circuit Paul Ricard, the Story of a Revival" will be broadcast Monday evening on the channel France 3, a few days before the start of the French Grand Prix of Formula 1 on the Castellet track.

A few days before the highly anticipated start of the French Formula 1 Grand Prix at the Paul Ricard circuit, the television channel France 3 will broadcast a 52-minute documentary, written and directed by Bruno Sevaistre, about the revival of the legendary Var track. This broadcast is scheduled for Monday, June 18, around 11:30 PM, after Soir 3.
« When the announcement of Formula 1’s grand return to France was made public in 2016, I was, like all fans of this sport, both surprised and delighted. Nostalgic for the French Grand Prix, I immediately thought back to the glory days of the Paul Ricard circuit. And when you’re a “storyteller,” it’s hard to pass up such an opportunity. Everything is in place to offer a thrilling narrative with multiple twists and turns around fascinating human trajectories, with characters worthy of great adventure fiction, » the documentary director explains.
Using meticulous archival work and testimonies from former drivers, circuit directors, politicians, and members of the Ricard family, the director traces the history of this renaissance and provides an understanding of how so many racing drivers have been marked by this legendary circuit.
Alain Prost, Jean Alesi, and Bernie Ecclestone participated in this documentary, which also features rare archival footage lent by the Ricard family.
