Formula 1 cars in the streets of Marseille? While this image may seem incongruous, that’s exactly what’s going to happen on Friday evening, between the City Hall square at the Old Port and the Esplanade of the Mucem, just a few meters away.

Hosted by various DJs, this major Formula 1 event aimed at being popular will offer spectators the chance to watch the trials and the race on a giant screen for free, see a mini Formula 1 race with a 2012 Renault E20 and a 2011 Red Bull RB7 driven by Frank Montagny and David Coulthard respectively, a parade of historic Renaults, and various other activities set up in the F1 Village from Friday to Sunday.
