Ferrari and Sauber on display in the heart of Milan
On the occasion of the second public demonstration of F1, Milan has been chosen. The teams present will naturally be Ferrari and Sauber, with the four main drivers at the wheel.
Last year, Liberty Media wanted to send a strong message about the desired changes for F1 by organizing a public demonstration with all the teams in the heart of Milan, as a precursor to the Silverstone Grand Prix.
This year, Milan was chosen to host a new demonstration, just before the Monza Grand Prix, which is located in the suburbs of the Italian fashion capital. But this time, don’t expect to see all the teams. Indeed, the tifosi only have eyes for the Scuderia, and it will be the one highlighted. Since Alfa Romeo is now the title sponsor of Sauber, the Swiss team will also be present.
Sean Bratches, the commercial director of F1, commented on this second edition of the F1 Festival: “Motorsport is part of the DNA of this beautiful city, and there’s no better way to celebrate it than by bringing these Formula 1 teams and great drivers to the streets of Milan. The fans are what keep us alive, and everything we do is aimed at pleasing them. That’s why we launched our festival program, to make F1 accessible to everyone and bring the thrills of F1 to the heart of the world’s greatest cities.”
The public demonstration, which will take place on Wednesday, August 29, will be completely free and will kick off one of the most exciting weekends of the year.
