Jérôme Stoll becomes president of Renault again
Although he was supposed to leave his position at the beginning of the year, Jérôme Stoll has ultimately been recalled to preside over Renault Sport since Thierry Koskas has left the group.

Certainly, the question of the leadership of Renault continues to be a saga full of twists and turns, on all levels. The Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance must face the imprisonment of Carlos Ghosn, who has already lost his CEO positions at the two Japanese companies and whose procedure to find a replacement at Renault has begun.
This situation also has repercussions on its activities in F1. Thus, last November, it was announced that Thierry Koskas, vice-president in charge of global sales, would replace Jérôme Stoll as president of Renault Sport on January 1, 2019.
Ultimately, this handover will never take place as the team merely noted that Thierry Koskas had finally decided to leave the group, without providing any indication if this departure was related to the repercussions of the Ghosn affair.
Jérôme Stoll therefore resumes his position as president of Renault Sport as the 2019 season is set to be the one where the team begins to fight for podiums after moving from 9th to 4th place in three seasons. The arrival of Daniel Ricciardo is thus a sign of the French manufacturer’s ambitions.
