Racing Point F1 Team will not change its name
The official name of the former Force India team participating in the 2019 Formula 1 World Championship will indeed be Racing Point F1 Team.

After the purchase of the Force India team by a Canadian consortium represented by Lawrence Stroll, a political-sporting imbroglio confronted the new owners who had to quickly find a new name for the team.
This is how Racing Point Force India F1 Team was born, which, although it had to give up the points scored in the championship by Force India, was able to retain the commercial benefits of the Indian team’s registration in the championship by keeping part of its name.
But if some thought that the true name of this “new” team would be unveiled at the same time as its colors on February 13th, that will not be the case as the designation Racing Point F1 Team will indeed be retained by the Canadian entity, as evidenced by its communication on social media.
See you in Toronto next week to discover the first-born of this new team flying the Canadian flag, with Lance Stroll and Sergio Pérez tasked with bringing it to the podiums.
