Racing Point steals a sponsor from Williams!
The SportPesa Racing Point F1 Team recently announced having signed a partnership with JCB, a company specialized in providing construction and work materials.

Racing Point F1 Team has managed to sign a multi-year contract with the English company JCB, which specializes in the supply of construction materials and equipment. The group positions itself as one of the leaders in the sector.
JCB will enable Lawrence Stroll’s team to create its new ultra-modern factory. The English brand will be able to promote itself in the world of Formula 1 and thus expand its business. The JCB logo will be visible on the rear wing of the car and on the uniforms of the drivers and mechanics.
This alliance proves that the shareholders of SportPesa Racing Point have confidence in the new Canadian team and are willing to invest money in this racing team.
Note that the JCB logo was visible from 2017 to 2018 on the Williams single-seaters. Everything suggests that the British brand preferred to leave the Williams ship before it sank.
Otmar Szafnauer, director of Racing Point F1 Team, is thrilled with this recent sponsorship deal: « It’s the dawn of a new era for this team, and we are delighted to welcome JCB in an exciting adventure in the years to come. We have a thirst for success on and off the track. It’s a pleasure to have a dynamic and world-leading brand supporting our efforts as we approach the 2019 season. »
