Alliance between McLaren and ScanSource
McLaren announced today that it has signed a new alliance with ScanSource for its IndyCar program while renewing its partnership with AutoNation.

For the past two years, McLaren has been increasingly involved in IndyCar. After the appointment of Bob Fernley, former sporting director of Force India, as president of McLaren IndyCar, the British team has secured new sponsors.
This new partnership is with ScanSource, a global provider of technology products and solutions. The American brand will support McLaren and Fernando Alonso. The Spanish driver will participate in the Indianapolis 500 to pursue the triple crown. The ScanSource logo will appear on Fernando Alonso’s car and his suit.
The CEO of McLaren Racing is delighted with this new partnership: « We are thrilled to welcome ScanSource as a partner for our Indy 500 program this year. ScanSource is a premium technology leader in the market. There is a fantastic alignment between our two brands, and we are honored to represent them. This will be a special event for McLaren and its partners. We hope that ScanSource will join us to become part of the McLaren family and enjoy what is always an incredible experience.»
It was also announced that AutoNation, the largest automotive dealership group in the United States, had decided to rejoin for Fernando Alonso’s second attempt at the Indianapolis 500. This new alliance demonstrates the British team’s desire to establish itself on the other side of the Atlantic Ocean and, above all, to allow the double Formula 1 world champion, Fernando Alonso, to achieve the triple crown.
Double winner in Monaco and recent winner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the American event remains the last challenge for the Spaniard to become only the second racing driver to achieve this honorary title.
Marc Cannon, Chief Marketing Officer of AutoNation, expressed his joy about this new alliance: “We are thrilled to partner again with McLaren for the Indy 500 this year. McLaren has a well-known racing pedigree, and we wish Fernando the best of luck.”
