Eric Boullier joins the French Grand Prix team
The former sporting director of the McLaren Formula 1 team will join GIP, the organizer of the French Grand Prix, in a role as advisor and ambassador. The Frenchman thus makes a comeback in Formula 1 after his sudden departure from the British team.

Eric Boullier has never stayed far from Formula 1. Less than a year after resigning from his position as Sporting Director of the McLaren team, the French engineer returns to the pinnacle of motorsport by officially joining the GIP of the French Grand Prix.
In addition to a role as a luxury ambassador, Boullier will also be responsible for a mission as a strategic sports and operational advisor. The former Sporting Director of Lotus in Formula 1 is well acquainted with the environment of the French Grand Prix as he was among the most active members in the return of the tricolor race to the Paul Ricard circuit.
