Tatiana Calderon continues with Alfa Romeo Racing
Alfa Romeo Racing has confirmed that Tatiana Calderon will remain as the reserve driver for the team for the upcoming season. She will support Kimi Räikkönen and Antonio Giovinazzi.

Formerly Sauber, the Swiss team offered the young Colombian driver her first runs in Formula 1 on the Fiorano track in 2018. Calderon has been linked to the Hinwil-based structure since 2017, where she served as a development driver.
Unfortunately, a permanent position is not currently in the cards for the young woman. Indeed, if Tatiana fails to assert herself in Formula 2 where she will race for BWT Arden, the next seat could go to Mick Schumacher, who is also in F2 with Prema and a member of Ferrari’s young driver program. The close collaboration between the Italian team and Alfa Romeo Racing could benefit the German F3 champion.
The main person involved is delighted about the continuation of this collaboration: « They gave me my first chance to drive a Formula 1 car and I love being part of the team. I hope we can accomplish great things together in the near future. I want to thank Frédéric Vasseur and Alfa Romeo Racing for believing in me and continuing this adventure together.»
Yessss! 🕺🏼Tatiana Calderon will stay with us as a test driver for the 2019 @f1 season! Keep it up, @TataCalde! 🚀#TatianaCalderon #GetCloser #AlfaRomeoRacing pic.twitter.com/AOfbtACnOw
