Arthur Leclerc becomes a member of the Sauber Junior Team
Arthur Leclerc, brother of Formula 1 driver Charles Leclerc, becomes a driver for the Sauber Junior Team in Formula 4.

Today, the Sauber Junior Team announced the name of its new driver who will compete in Formula 4, and it seems that Arthur Leclerc is following in the footsteps of his older brother. Indeed, the Ferrari driver had also passed through the Swiss entity before being noticed by Ferrari’s young driver program.
The 17-year-old Monegasque will therefore participate under the colors of Sauber in the ADAC F4 championship but also in some rounds of the Italian F4 championship, which is known for being very competitive. He will be accompanied by Alessandro Ghiretti, champion of the Asian Formula 4, Roman Staněk, and Théo Pourchaire.
In addition to carrying the name Leclerc, Arthur did not discredit himself in the French F4 in 2018 by winning 2 races and achieving 8 podiums, placing him in fifth position in the final championship standings.
The owner of Charouz Racing System, Antonin Charouz, seems delighted with his new recruit: “I am delighted to welcome Arthur Leclerc to complete our range of F4 drivers. He has already shown talent and determination behind the wheel, and we are eager to help him develop his potential throughout the upcoming season. Alongside our other F4 drivers, I believe we will be represented by an excellent team of rising stars and I am excited for the season to begin this month.”
We’re delighted to confirm Arthur Leclerc as the development driver that completes our F4 line-up. A very warm welcome Arthur!
