The young driver Jamie Chadwick joins Williams!
The British hopeful joins Williams as a development driver while integrating into the team's young driver academy!

The period is prosperous for female drivers! After Tatiana Calderon, development driver at Alfa Romeo in F1 and participating with Arden in F2, it’s Jamie Chadwick’s turn to join the pinnacle of motorsport.
At 21 years old, the Briton will take on the role of development driver for Williams: her mission will be to develop the FW42 via the simulator. Her arrival in the Grove team is supported by an impressive track record: champion of GT4 in 2015 and the British Formula in 2018, Chadwick also competes in the W Series, the exclusively female championship inaugurated this season. She even won the first race, held in Germany, on the Hockenheim circuit.
Naturally, Claire Williams reacted to this announcement via a press release published on the team’s website. The team principal of the eponymous team hopes to see in this officialization a message of hope for younger generations.
« I am delighted to confirm that Jamie Chadwick has joined the Williams Racing Driver Academy in the role of development driver. Alongside her commitments, Jamie will be permanently immersed within the team, both trackside and at the factory. Jamie is a true talent and I look forward to working with her! »
« Promoting the role of women in motorsport is extremely important: having Jamie as a member of our driver academy will surely inspire young girls, ready to get started from a young age! »
