Esteban Ocon consultant at Canal+!
The former Formula 1 driver, Esteban Ocon, will join the ranks of Canal+ as an occasional contributor.

Esteban Ocon’s career takes a rather unexpected turn. Following the acquisition of Force India by a consortium led by Lawrence Stroll, the Frenchman was pushed out in 2018 to make way for Lance Stroll, the son of the team’s new owner.
Discussions with Renault and McLaren ultimately never materialized, and it was Daniel Ricciardo who secured the seat with the French manufacturer and Carlos Sainz who donned the papaya suit.
Securing a role as a development driver with the team that funds his career, Mercedes, the Norman intended to make his grand return to the top category of motorsport in 2020, but Valtteri Bottas’s good form and his two victories thwarted the plans of the native of Évreux.
The rumors about Ocon joining Canal+ as a consultant are confirmed, and the former Force India driver will start his new role at the Monaco Grand Prix. His role as an occasional contributor will involve participating in debriefs and being on the grid before the race. Canal+ has specified that his level of involvement will vary depending on the Grand Prix events and their significance. He will provide expert insights into the world of Formula 1, having participated in 50 Grand Prix between 2016 and 2018.
