“F1 2019” is available on Xbox, Playstation, and PC: the editorial’s opinion
As every year for the past 10 years, the Formula 1 season comes with its game on consoles and PC, always featuring its share of new additions. The Motors Inside editorial team tested the game before its release and shares their impressions.

An immersive gameplay
Whether it’s with a controller or a steering wheel, the sensations are there. You can feel the vibrations when going over a rumble strip, when you start to spin out, or even when locking the wheels. Due to 2019 regulations, this year’s single-seaters have less aerodynamic downforce than last year and this is accurately reflected in the game.
Formula 2 cars have their own unique physics. They are obviously less powerful and also less stable than the cars in the top tier of motorsport. The AI is quicker than ever, and it’s often surprising to have great battles with it.
A very extensive career
The big news in career mode this year is undoubtedly the addition of F2. This will allow you to gain experience before joining Formula 1. The main advantage of Formula 2 is clearly its scenario mode, which includes two fictional characters. On one hand, your rival, Devon Butler, an arrogant and detestable driver, and on the other, Lukas Weber, your teammate who is very fair-play.
Alas, these two characters lose a lot of importance upon their arrival in F1. Of course, it is possible to start directly in Formula 1, but you then miss out on a large portion of the game. Driver transfers make a big entrance. It will now be possible to see Sergio Perez join Ferrari and conversely, Lewis Hamilton leave Mercedes.
What a #FridayFeeling we’ve had today reading all the reviews 💪… let’s make it even better with some F1 2019 screenshots ahead of the #FrenchGP! 🇫🇷

A complete multiplayer mode
With the spectacular entry of the F1 Esport Series in 2017, multiplayer takes a prominent place in this new installment. The servers have been improved, and even though some minor bugs still exist, we can encourage their reduction. You can now fully customize your driver and your car. You have the option to play in leagues, ranked or unranked, and participate in weekly events. A whole section of the multiplayer game is dedicated to Esport where you can see the latest news, the latest races, and more…
Enhanced graphics
Aesthetically, it’s virtually flawless. In addition to benefiting from a very efficient graphics engine, improvements have been made for this release. Starting with the light management, which is even more advanced than in F1 2018. The reflections on the cars are almost astounding. More generally, the sun or streetlights have never seemed so real. The night has also undergone a change. The sky now seems covered with a strange mist. An effect that might not please everyone but isn’t ugly.
In conclusion
Whether you’re a fan of Formula 1, motorsports, or car games, this F1 2019 should more than satisfy your needs thanks to its rich content and graphics that meet current standards. Without claiming to reinvent the genre, Codemasters offers us a very nice evolution.
