Netflix confirms the continuation of their Formula 1 dedicated series
After the popular success of season 1 of "Drive to Survive", broadcast on the Netflix platform, the American broadcaster confirms the continuation of the series with a season as early as 2020.

Launched at the beginning /f1/actualite/23134-officiel-netflix-annonce-la-diffusion-de-la-serie-documentaire-sur-la-f1.html, the series “Drive to Survive” (“Pilotes de leur destin” in French) has been acclaimed by both the F1 community and fans, as well as a broader audience. Commissioned by Liberty Media in 2018, the owners of Formula 1, and depicting the 2018 season from various perspectives while featuring key figures in the F1 paddock, Netflix has clearly found the recipe to immerse the audience in the often opaque world that is Formula 1.
Therefore, it seemed very likely that the American structure would propose a season 2. This was confirmed today with the official announcement from the Netflix France account with the message:
« It’s official, Formula 1: Drivers of their destiny will return for a season 2 in 2020, and this time we will have Ferrari and Mercedes in the mix. »

The streaming giant also announced that the main absentees from season 1 Ferrari and Mercedes will now be joining the fray. There is no doubt that the two manufacturers realized after season 1 the positive impact of such a broadcast on the general public.
Season 2, probably available before the Melbourne Grand Prix 2020 (similar to /f1/actualite/23134-officiel-netflix-annonce-la-diffusion-de-la-serie-documentaire-sur-la-f1.html), will therefore allow us to share the backstage of the ten F1 paddock teams during this season /f1/actualite/23134-officiel-netflix-annonce-la-diffusion-de-la-serie-documentaire-sur-la-f1.html.
If Haas had already caused a lot of talk by putting the characters of Günther Steiner and Romain Grosjean in the spotlight, there is no doubt that the teams filming season 2 will not miss anything about the American team’s difficult time in this first half of the season.
