Renault continues to power on with BP and Castrol
The partnership between Renault and BP/Castrol will go well beyond F1 as it will also extend to the aftermarket sector of the French manufacturer.

It’s a (very long) page that is turning. Indeed, since 1968, Elf (now part of Total) has been Renault’s preferred partner, providing fuels and lubricants for its production vehicles. The most recent contract runs from 2015 to 2019.
But on January 1, 2020, it will not be extended since Renault has decided to strengthen its partnership with BP and Castrol, which was established in 2017 as part of F1. That is why both parties have announced that they will extend their current agreement at least until 2024 but, more importantly, the partnership now includes the manufacturing and marketing of Renault Castrol products for Renault dealers worldwide.
The dedicated F1 agreement provides for the delivery of fuels, engine oils, transmission and hydraulic oils, greases, and high-performance brake fluids, as well as a range of industrial high-performance lubricants to the technical centers in Enstone for the chassis and in Viry-Châtillon for the engine. The partners will therefore jointly embrace the challenge of the technical regulation changes planned for 2021.
