Verstappen: “The team is strong with strategies and pit stops, it can make a big difference”
Questioned about his chances of shining on the Hungarian circuit, Max Verstappen spoke about the opportunities available to him on this winding track, suited to the Austrian single-seaters. After the new record set by his team during the pit stop at Hockenheim, the Dutchman feels that anything is possible.

After his victory in Germany last week, a confident Max Verstappen spoke to journalists this Thursday at the Hungaroring.
Aware of the gap in the championship with the Mercedes and Ferrari teams, the Red Bull driver considers it too early to announce a championship fight with the Germans: « I think it’s too early to say that, the difference is still big in terms of performance, especially in qualifying. We’re getting closer but not quite enough yet. »
On an ideal circuit for Red Bull and their formidable chassis, Max Verstappen knows he can come out on top:
« We are behind in qualifications, but in the race, everything can be different. The team is solid with strategies and pit stops, and with a good start, it can make a big difference. » Let’s recall that last weekend, the Red Bull team set a new pit stop record at 1.88 seconds. The Dutchman adds, « We have a good car, but we are still dominated in terms of the engine, and when we try to take corners at full speed, we need power. We still need to improve in this area, and therefore it’s hard to say now if we will be very strong here, we need to work to find the right settings. »
Tomorrow will be an important day for the Red Bull team. It will be necessary to find the right settings and anticipate different atmospheric conditions for the qualifications and Sunday’s race because, as seen in our previous article, the weather could become a disruptor.
