The Italian Grand Prix secures a place on the calendar until 2024
The information was eagerly awaited by all Formula 1 fans. The Italian Grand Prix, at the temple of speed in Monza, will be continued at least until 2024. The information was confirmed this Wednesday, September 4, 2019, following the agreement between Formula 1 and the Automobile Club d'Italia (ACI) on the occasion of the 90th anniversary celebration of Scuderia Ferrari.

The Italian Grand Prix is one of the races that has always been on the calendar since the start of Formula 1 in 1950. The race has always taken place on the Lombard circuit, except for the 1980 GP which was held in Imola.
The Autodromo de Monza has hosted 68 Grand Prix races, more than any other circuit in the world. The titles of 12 world championships have been decided on this track. As Chase Carey, president of Formula 1, reminded us, History, Passion, and Speed are the words that the entire community of the premier motorsport discipline associates with the Italian Grand Prix.
Four days before the 2019 Italian Grand Prix, and after Kimi Räikkönen’s record performance – an average speed of 263.5 km/h, 15 more than the previous record held by a certain Michael Schumacher – during qualifying in the previous edition, this news will provide additional motivation for Ferrari to confirm its comeback following the undisputed victory in Belgium a week earlier.
