Codemaster and F1 extend their contract
Since 2009, Codemasters has held the rights to Formula 1. This partnership has been extended until 2025.

Codemasters and Formula 1 have a long love story. Especially since 2016, where the games have continuously improved year after year, becoming increasingly true to the behavior of an F1, more immersive, etc. The announcement of the contract extension between the two parties is a good thing as it normally ensures players quality Formula 1 games until 2025.
A continuation justified by the critical and public success of the game F1 2019, which has a score of 84 on Metacritic. This agreement also extends to e-sports. Indeed, since 2017, F1 has established itself in the field with a sim racing competition that is doing very well. The official teams of the championship have even become involved in the project.
Frank Sagnier, Director of Codemasters, is delighted with this contract extension: « We are thrilled to extend our long-term partnership with the pinnacle of motorsport. The sports and gaming franchise continues to strengthen. The arrival of new platforms, new business models, and new territories, combined with the rapid growth of the F1 Esports Series, provides us with a springboard for even greater success. I would like to thank the team for the incredible work they have dedicated to this franchise over the past ten years, and I look forward to seeing how they continue to innovate to surprise and delight our current players and bring new fans to the exciting world of Formula 1. »
Codemaster has also, in its extension, negotiated an option for the 2026 and 2027 seasons.
