Official: Max Verstappen linked with Red Bull until 2023
Red Bull and Max Verstappen announced this morning the extension of their partnership until the end of the 2023 season, thus putting an end to rumors of the Dutchman's possible departure.

The 2020 season hasn’t started yet, but the transfer market is already buzzing. A few days ago, Charles Leclerc and Ferrari announced that they would continue their journey together until 2024.
Today, it’s Red Bull and Max Verstappen’s turn to extend their partnership until 2023. This announcement puts an end to speculations of a possible departure of the Dutch driver to Mercedes or Ferrari in 2021.
The Dutchman seems delighted with his choice: “I am really happy to extend my partnership with the team, Red Bull believes in me and gave me the opportunity to start in Formula 1 and I will always be grateful to them. Over the years I have grown with the team and beyond the team’s common passion and on-track performances, it is a real pleasure to work with this group. Honda has joined the team and the progress we have made over the past 12 months has given me even more motivation that we can win together.”
For its part, Red Bull is pleased to have kept its prodigy for many years: « It’s fantastic news for the team to extend Max until the 2023 season inclusive. With the changes on the horizon for 2021, continuity in as many areas as possible will be one of the keys to success,” states Christian Horner, the team’s Sporting Director.
