Video – Netflix unveils the spectacular trailer for season 2 of Drive to Survive
While the release of the second season of the documentary series Drive to Survive is scheduled for February 28, Netflix has just shared the trailer. One can definitely say that it makes you want to watch it!
While season 1 was a real success, we can’t expect any less from season 2 which retraces the 2019 Formula 1 season. This documentary, produced by Netflix, presents behind-the-scenes of Formula 1. All the elements that we don’t see during a Grand Prix weekend, the off-track moments, the human aspect, are presented in this documentary that pleased Formula 1 enthusiasts as well as newcomers who didn’t know about motorsports before season 1.
A new feature this year
During Season 1 of Drive to Survive, the top teams Mercedes and Ferrari were notably absent as they had refused to let the cameras enter their garages. However, the documentary was not a failure, as we were able to see some major rivalries between the main characters: Günther Steiner and his frankness with the two Haas drivers, Daniel Ricciardo with his arrival at Renault, and the Red Bull team.
For this season 2, both Mercedes and Ferrari teams will be featured in the documentary, with Netflix’s keen eye following Mercedes during the fabulous Hockenheim weekend while the film crews snuck into Ferrari during the Monza event, where Charles Leclerc triumphed.
